Aircraft Hangar Epoxy Floors That Brighten the Whole Bay

A hangar floor should be bright enough to inspect by, clean enough to keep debris off the ramp, and tough enough for tugs and tires. We install hangar epoxy floors for private owners and businesses across Parker County and North Texas.

Why coat a hangar

Bare concrete is the weakest part of most hangars

Hangars are big, open slabs that see a little of everything: aircraft tires, tow bars and tugs, maintenance carts, oil and fluid drips, and dust blowing in every time the door opens. Bare concrete absorbs those drips into permanent stains and sheds a fine grit that ends up on everything you're trying to keep clean.

A seamless epoxy hangar floor seals the slab. Drips sit on the surface where you can see them and wipe them up. Dust stops coming out of the concrete. And a light, reflective floor bounces overhead light up under wings and into wheel wells, which makes inspections and maintenance easier on your eyes.

It also looks the part. A finished hangar floor shows the same care you put into the aircraft parked on it.

What a hangar floor needs

Built around how a hangar actually gets used

  1. Light that works for you

A light solid color reflects overhead light onto the aircraft, so you can see what you're working on without dragging work lights everywhere.

  2. Leaks you can spot

A uniform, light floor makes a new drip obvious, which is useful information under any aircraft.

  3. Less dust and debris

Sealed concrete stops shedding grit, so there's less to sweep and less to blow back out onto the ramp.

  4. Fluid and chemical resistance

The non-porous surface resists oil, grease, and chemical spills, and cleans up with basic sweeping and mopping.

How we install it

Our hangar floor installation process

Large slabs magnify every shortcut, so hangar floors get the same prep we give every NES floor, at scale. We start with a walk of the hangar to check the concrete, joints, cracks, and moisture, and to talk through where the aircraft and equipment need to be during the project.

Then the slab is diamond ground wall to wall to open the concrete and remove contaminants, cracks and pits are repaired, and a high-performance epoxy base coat goes down. Most hangars finish with additional solid color coats for thickness, or a flake broadcast for a decorative look, and a protective topcoat.

See every step on our process page.

  1. Step 1: Prep

    Ground and repaired slab

Diamond grinding, crack and pit repair, clean concrete.

  2. Step 2: Build

    Solid color epoxy coats

Uniform color and thickness sized to your traffic.

  3. Step 3: Finish

    Protective topcoat

Seals the system against wear, stains, and fluids.

Hangar questions

Aircraft hangar flooring FAQ

What color is best for a hangar floor?

Most owners choose a light solid color. It reflects light up onto the aircraft, which helps during inspections and maintenance, and it makes drips and leaks easy to spot. Flake blends are an option for hangars that double as a showroom or entertaining space.

Can the floor handle tugs, tow bars, and aircraft tires?

A properly bonded epoxy system is built for vehicle and rolling equipment traffic. We'll ask about your aircraft, tug, and how the hangar is used so the system and number of coats match the load.

How long will the hangar be out of service?

Foot traffic can return about 12 hours after the final coat and vehicles after 72 hours under normal conditions. We'll confirm return-to-service times for your aircraft and equipment before the job is scheduled.

Will you travel to a private airstrip?

We work across Parker County and the surrounding area. Call us with your hangar's location and we'll confirm we can get there.
