Patio & Porch Coatings That Won't Yellow in the Texas Sun

Your patio is where summer happens, and it bakes all day to prove it. We coat covered patios and porches with a flake system sealed by a UV-resistant polyaspartic topcoat, so the finish stays the color you picked.

Outdoor living, upgraded

Why bare patio concrete never looks as good as the rest of the house

New homes and remodels get beautiful brick, stone, and windows, then the patio is left as plain gray concrete. It stains under the grill, grows mildew in the shade, and cracks show more every year. Paint and store-bought sealers peel within a summer or two.

An outdoor flake coating ties the patio into the rest of the home. You choose a flake blend that works with your brick, stone, and trim, and the finished surface is seamless and easy to hose off. Spilled drinks, grease, and muddy paws clean up instead of soaking in.

Built for sun and weather

What makes an outdoor coating last in North Texas

Outdoor concrete deals with heat, UV, rain, and temperature swings that indoor floors never see. These are the details we build in for patios.

  1. A UV-resistant polyaspartic topcoat

Plain epoxy can yellow in direct sunlight. Polyaspartic doesn't, so your patio keeps its color year after year.

  2. Real grip underfoot

Flake texture plus an optional slip-resistant additive helps around pools, outdoor kitchens, and wet areas.

  3. Ground, not just washed

Outdoor slabs collect dirt, mildew, sealers, and old paint. Diamond grinding removes all of it so the coating bonds to sound concrete.

  4. Honest about your slab

Slope, drainage, and existing cracks matter outside. We'll look at all of it and tell you what to expect before you commit.

Choosing your finish

Picking a flake blend for your patio

Most patios get a flake floor because the blend hides dust, pollen, and leaves between sweepings, and the texture is better underfoot than a smooth finish. You can choose one of our ready-made blends or create your own to match the house.

During your consultation we'll bring samples and look at them in your actual light. A blend that looks warm in a showroom can read cool on a shaded porch, so seeing it on site matters.

Patio questions

Outdoor patio coating FAQ

Will an outdoor epoxy coating yellow in the sun?

Plain epoxy can amber in UV light, which is why our outdoor floors are sealed with a polyaspartic topcoat. It's UV resistant and won't yellow with time.

Will a coated patio be slippery when it's wet?

Flake floors have a light texture, and for patios, porches, and pool-side areas we can add a slip-resistant additive to the topcoat for extra grip when the surface is wet.

Can you coat an uncovered patio?

Covered patios and porches are ideal. Fully exposed slabs can be coated too, but they see more temperature swings and water, so we'll look at drainage, slope, and slab condition before recommending a system.

How soon can we use the patio?

You can walk on the floor 12 hours after we finish. Give it 72 hours before heavy furniture, grills, or anything with wheels goes back on.
