Epoxy garage floors
Epoxy Garage Floors Built for Texas Heat and Hot Tires
A garage floor in Parker County takes more than parked cars. It takes 100-degree afternoons, hot tires off the highway, oil drips, and a slab that breathes moisture all year. We build epoxy garage floors that handle all of it and still wipe clean.

Why coat your garage
What an epoxy garage floor fixes
When homeowners call us about their garages, they usually want three things: a floor that holds up, a floor that's easy to clean, and a garage that finally looks finished. A properly installed epoxy garage floor delivers all three.
- Durability: resists stains, chemicals, hot tire pickup, and dropped tools
- Easy cleaning: a quick sweep or mop instead of scrubbing oil out of concrete
- Less dust: a sealed slab stops shedding the grit you track into the house
- A finished look: a bright, uniform floor that makes the whole garage feel newer
- Curb appeal: a coated garage makes a strong impression if you ever sell
The result is a space you use differently: a clean place to park and unload, a spot for projects and workouts, and a room you're not embarrassed to open up when friends come over.

Why garage coatings fail
The one thing that ruins a garage floor before it starts
Almost every failed garage floor we're called to look at was not prepped correctly. The previous installer skipped grinding, used a consumer-grade kit, or applied the coating over concrete that wasn't ready to accept it. Acid etching and a quick rinse don't open the slab the way mechanical grinding does.
Texas makes it worse. Summer slabs get hot, moisture vapor moves up from the ground, and a thin coating that never bonded starts to bubble, peel, or lift under hot tires within a season or two.
At NES, every garage starts with mechanical diamond grinding, no exceptions. That prep is what our 10-year workmanship warranty is built on.
Grinding, not etching
Industrial diamond grinding removes weak surface, old coatings, and contaminants, and opens the pores so epoxy bonds into the slab.
Repairs before coating
Cracks, pits, and spalled spots are repaired so the finished floor is smooth and consistent.
A moisture-barrier base
High-performance epoxy from Versatile.net blocks vapor from below and anchors everything above it.
How we install it
Our garage floor coating process
A professional flake garage floor is a multi-step system. Each step is timed carefully so the floor cures properly and bonds for the long haul.
Diamond grind the slab
We grind wall to wall to remove contaminants and open the concrete.
Repair cracks and pits
Defects are filled so they don't telegraph through the finish.
Apply the epoxy base coat
A moisture-barrier epoxy base goes down as the foundation of the system.
Broadcast the flake
Decorative flake is broadcast into the wet base until the floor is fully covered.
Scrape and smooth
Excess flake is removed and the surface is smoothed for an even finish.
Seal with polyaspartic
A clear, UV-resistant topcoat seals the floor and won't yellow with time.
Prefer a clean, uniform color? We also install solid color epoxy garage floors. You can walk on either system after 12 hours and park on it after 72.
Two finishes
Flake epoxy or solid color: which floor fits your space?
Both systems start the same way: diamond-ground concrete and a moisture-barrier epoxy base. The difference is what goes on top, and how you want the floor to look and work.
Flake epoxy floors
Colored vinyl flakes are broadcast into the wet base coat until the floor is fully covered, then scraped smooth and locked in with a clear polyaspartic topcoat.
- Light texture for better grip than bare concrete
- Hides dust, tire marks, and minor concrete flaws
- Choose one of our ready blends or create a custom one
- The most popular choice for garages and patios
Solid color epoxy floors
A uniform, seamless color with a clean, bright finish. Additional coats can be added for thickness where traffic is heavy.
- Even color that reflects light and brightens the room
- A clean, modern look that pairs with any decor
- Simple to clean and straightforward to maintain
- A popular choice for home gyms and laundry rooms
We install flake and solid color systems in epoxy and urethane. We don't install metallic epoxy finishes. We put our energy into the two systems that hold up under real-world use.
Garage floor questions
Epoxy garage floor FAQ
Will hot tires lift my garage floor coating?
Hot tire lifting happens when a thin coating sits on top of unprepared concrete. Our floors are bonded into diamond-ground concrete with an epoxy base and finished with a polyaspartic topcoat designed to resist hot tire marks, stains, and chipping.
My garage floor sweats in summer. Can it still be coated?
Often, yes, but we need to see it first. Condensation and moisture vapor change how a slab must be prepped and when it should be coated. Our base coat is an epoxy moisture barrier, and we'll tell you honestly if your slab needs anything else before we start.
Can you coat over cracks, oil stains, or an old coating?
Old coatings are ground off, oil-soaked areas are ground and cleaned, and cracks and pits are repaired before any epoxy goes down. Those steps are part of every quote, not an upsell.
How do I clean an epoxy garage floor?
Sweep regularly to keep grit off the surface and mop with a mild cleaner when it needs it. No waxing, sealing, or special treatments are required.
